Port and valve covers are designed to cover connections on ports, IV’s etc to keep them clean and also prevent kinking around the port. Absorbs potential leakage around the connector. Also if you have long hair stops your hair getting caught in them! They can also be a deterrent from little fingers playing with ports and accidentally opening it. Valve covers have more poppers and are slightly larger than port covers (these have 3) and are advised for catheter valve covers.

Printed covers can help make medical fixings feel less scary and more fun, aiming to also increase self confidence.

Once hypafix tape is applied it will last until taken off, after this point a new strip should be applied and the old one discarded. You can keep hypafix on when in water, but this may speed up adhesion loss.

IMPORTANT: tubie tape colour may vary slightly from photo due to screen lighting, picture lighting and ink transfer. please note that darker coloured tapes may discolour and stain your tube or skin this is not harmful and will not damage your tube or skin.
